At Shorashim Hebrew Academy, our Early Childhood Center is where a lifelong love of learning begins. We understand that the earliest years of a child’s development are critical, and our program is thoughtfully designed to support cognitive, emotional, social, and spiritual growth in a nurturing, Torah-centered environment.

Our classrooms are joyful, welcoming spaces where curiosity is celebrated, and exploration is encouraged. We blend structured learning with creative play, allowing children to develop foundational skills in literacy, math, problem-solving, and communication while also engaging in music, movement, art, and storytelling. Each lesson is infused with warmth, meaning, and purpose, rooted in our rich Jewish heritage.

Jewish identity is lovingly nurtured from day one. Our youngest students participate in age-appropriate tefillot (prayers), learn about Shabbat and the Jewish holidays through hands-on experiences, and begin to absorb Hebrew vocabulary and simple phrases in an immersive and joyful way. These early exposures build familiarity and excitement around Jewish customs and values.

Our early childhood staff members are experienced, passionate educators who understand the developmental milestones of young learners and tailor their instruction to each child’s pace and needs. With small class sizes and a low student-to-teacher ratio, children receive individualized attention, encouragement, and support. Teachers partner closely with parents, offering regular updates and fostering open communication to ensure each child’s success.

Above all, our Early Childhood Center fosters a sense of security, love, and belonging. Children feel safe, supported, and confident as they take their first steps into formal education. By the time they graduate from our preschool program, they are not only academically prepared but emotionally ready to thrive in kindergarten and beyond—anchored in strong values and joyful memories of their earliest learning experiences.
